Fundraising & Legacy: What The Team Aims to Mirror in Honor of Steve

Steve Cammarota’s involvement in various extracurricular activities was a fundamental part of his inspiring character that he was so well known for. Having chaired the first EagleTHON at American University, he set a very high precedent for the Fundraising & Legacy team to mirror. The Fundraising & Legacy team is responsible for organizing events to raise money and memorialize Steve’s memory that goes beyond, and is ingrained in the message to ‘Do Better’. We hope to establish a scholarship in his name that will remind those awarded of someone who constantly strived to better the world around him. Additionally, we anticipate raising enough money to donate funds remaining outside of a potential bench at the American University campus, which Steve loved.

This year’s EagleTHON is taking place at noon on February 15, 2020. We encourage students to show their support for Steve by registering a team for EagleTHON and dancing for a great cause. The funds from EagleTHON are donated to the Children’s Miracle Network. Supporting this organization demonstrates an individual’s willingness and extraordinary ability to create lasting impact for those that need it most.
